John King is playing this week at The Alley, located at 3325 Grand Ave in Oakland. Please come out tonight, Friday May 10 from 9:00 PM - 2:00 AM. If that's too late notice, don't worry, he'll be there again next week on Thursday, May 16, from 9:00 PM - 1:00 AM and Saturday, May 18, from 9:00 PM-2:00 AM. John plays jazz and American songbook standards and takes requests. See you there!  Rod is still sick with the flu. The Alley is one of the few remaining piano bars in the Bay Area. It is one of a kind. Rod Dibble has played there, 5 nights a week, for the last 50 years! In addition to the music, the bar is also known for it's ambiance. Patrons leave business cards on the wall, and some of the cards also date back 50 years. However, these cards are only one aspect of the decor that makes The Alley a colorful, and truly memorable dive bar. |
